Music in Worship

St Peter’s Church is really blessed to have a number of competent

musicians and singers who have a passion for Jesus and a real desire to worship Him.

Their role is to simply point people to Him during the services.

We have keyboard players and organists; several guitarists; a couple of bass players

flautists and drummers. We can put together a team to lead a wide range of service

styles from youth services to quiet communion services and our monthly Family Service

which is always very informal.

Our range of worship songs includes modern contemporary; traditional hymns –

sometimes played on the organ and sometimes given ‘special treatment’ when other

musicians join in with different arrangements; standard hymns, choruses and spiritual

songs.

The worship team meets for prayer and worship each Thursday at 7:45pm as a ‘cell group’

The Church recently completed a ‘Saints in Worship’ course as part of our

Transformational Plan. Worship is something to be experienced. It is our core purpose as

Christians. It is simply our love-response to a God who gave His all for us.
